Usually the inside of the car is ignored detail-wise. The smokey plastic kind of hides it, but if you look inside the car you'll see that there are actually two bucket seats inside (these become the robot feet) which was a brilliant touch. The Takara designers who originally produced this toy really tried to pay attention to small details such as the cuts representing the headlights, the lines going from the front of the car to the back and even the rear brake lights which are made of translucent All the rubber tires say "Transformers 2000" on them, which as you folks know was one of the names that Car Robots went by when it was released three years ago.

The windows are translucent, but smokey colored, not clear. The small lights on the car are painted orange while the rear section has a nice gun metal color applied. He has a large Autobot symbol heat stamped onto the front of the car. Like his Generation One form, Sideswipe is mostly red. Since the original was also a Lamborghini (specifically a Countach), the continuity between the two modes is most appreciated. The packaging is not perfect, but it does look nice if you can keep the window in good shape.Īppropriately, this "new" Sideswipe is a Lamborghini sports car. Since it is made of very thin plastic, it crunches and bends easily. Thing about the packaging is the clear plastic window piece. The OTFCC illustration featuring characters like Optimus Primal, Unicron and Razorclaw is used in the back. The tech specs printed on the box are done in traditional Generation One style, complete with the blue Used since this toy fits into that storyline. It is primarily black with a red grid/tech pattern over it. The packaging for Sideswipe is very nicely designed. This toy was the smaller price point exclusive for OTFCC (Official Transformers Collector's Convention) 2003. Sideswipe is a redeco and retooling of the Mach Alert / RiD Prowl sculpt.
Optimus Prime, Sideswipe, and Bumblebee were captured and taken to Kaon for "recycling". Sideswipe was one of the Autobots Optimus Prime used in his plan to rescue Zeta Prime from the prisons of Kaon. Transformers: War of Cybertron - Sideswipe appears in all versions of the game voiced by Travis Willingham and has the alternate form of a Cybertronian Car. Sideswipe manages to catch up with Sideways, throwing one of his blades into Sideways hood and slicing the Decepticon down the middle, destroying him as Sideswipe amusingly replies "Damn, I'm good!" Sidewsipe is later seen in the final battle fighting off advancing Decepticons in Egypt. He is seen in hot pursuit of the Decepticon, Sideways through the streets of Shanghai. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - Sideswipe is a member of the Autobots and part of the task force known as NEST with the vehicle form of a silver Corvette.

This was soon thereafter followed by a monthly series of the same name Other Media Originally created for the toy line of Transformers, Sideswipe made his first appearance in the Transformers Miniseries in 1984. As Sideswipe is still cut from the same cloth as his twin, he is a rash character that can make some heated and hasty decisions that often lead to his own injury.
Sideswipe is most likely the lesser of the two brothers, as his combat skills are ALMOST as good as Sunstreaker's (he is also a master of "jet judo" along with his brother), and he is also not as ruthless, meaning not as driven for victory. The main difference is that Sideswipe is red, and lacks his brother's flashy engine modification. He and his twin brother Sunstreaker were both formatted to look like a Lamborghini Countach. Sideswipe was part of the initial Autobot crew that crash-landed onto Earth.
